While Eduard Belegu is still on the Interpol list of Missing Persons,
the Tirana Court has issued am order that they want to publish on the
Government’s Official Bulletin and a local newspaper. The Court
information says that the former Minister of Economy adviser has
disappeared.

The decision was taken yesterday by Judge Elona Gjoka, ensuing a civil request by Belegu’s wife who asks the court to consider Eduart Belegu a missing person. The court verdict will be published on the Official Bulletin and on the newspaper for six months.

The disappearance of Eduart Belegu was one of the biggest mysteries for the Albanian authorities, in a time when the Serious Crime Prosecution suspected that the 49 year old could have been kidnapped and for this reason they passed the case to the Tirana Police.

The Prosecution agreed for the publication of this information on the Official Bulletin, and the same position was held by the representative of Municipal Unit 2 in Tirana.
