Bektashis celebrate Sultan Novruz

Baba Edmond declared on a live broadcast on Top Channel’s “Good Morning Albania” that this is a special day for all devotees. He wished more peace, prosperity, kindness and revenues for facing the life difficulties.

“This is the day which commemorates Imam Ali, the great saint and savant who fought against tyranny and ignorance, and who brought more peace, love and kindness among the people.

Haji Baba Edmond invited all Albanians to participate in the celebrations.

At the World See in Tirana was held today the ceremony led by World Leader of the Bektashi Order, who gave a message to the people:

“On behalf of the great almighty God. I thank you, God, for creating this day of joy for all creatures on this planet. With the excellent day of the birth of Ali Myrtezai, in the majestic Kaaba, our true lion, defender of your war, destructor of unfaithful, your representative in the entire world, equipped with the divine qualities, on His behalf and that of his work, please God forgive our unintentional mistakes and save humanity from fear and horror. Please God, make possible the birth of good leading men who will govern with justice, and make us trustful followers of Ali Myertezai, on the day that you, God, have blessed and sanctified with your majesty”.
    
President Nishani wishes happy Nevruz to the Bektashi community

“The relation of the Albanian people with Bektashism is one of the most interesting and beautiful a people could have with religion. It has always been a fascinating, multidimensional, spiritual and utilitarian relation. Bektashism has been for centuries the connecting bridge which enabled spiritual balance inside everyone, as it preserved balances with other religions too”, the message says.

The President then writes: “The Albanian people did not convert to Bektashism because some missionaries travelled from afar to expand their belief. This miraculous phenomenon stands on a series of mutual qualities the Albanians share with Bektashism. Some of these qualities are discipline, tolerance, pride, humility and the ability to be part of the same bigger and independent thing”, the President declared.

“The popularity of Bektashism among the Albanian people is a rare case of perfect adaptation towards development and prosperity, amidst various hardship and sufferings.  Let’s preserve the ritual of this joyful celebration and wish more kindness, prosperity and harmony to each other”, the President added.

Berisha wishes happy Sultan Novruz

The Albanian Prime Minister wished the Bektashi community a happy Sultan Novruz.

Berisha declared that this is an inspirational day for all Albanians.

“I want to give my warmest wish to all Albanian Bektashi, wherever they are, on this holy day that inspires us for bigger efforts, in order to realize our noble goals, and for more kindness towards ourselves and our family”, Berisha declared.

The Albanian Prime Minister underlined that Bektashism is closely related with the efforts of the Albanian people for freedom and dignity.
