Begaj: Sorry for disappointing you

“It was a great emotion. I was facing my responsibility as a pressure, and I apologize with the Albanian public. I was prepared for a golden medal. I will win it, because there are other races soon. I apologize to my trainer and Luan Shabani, who helped during these days and I was unable to win the golden medal in this championship”, Begaj declared.

The Mayor of Tirana thanked the two Albanian weightlifters who received six medals in total, 1 golden, one silver and four bronze. During the meeting with Daniel Godelli and Romela Begaj, Basha declared that the Municipality’s support for the talented sportsmen will be even bigger in the future”.

“We are here with the traditional champions of this area, who have honoured the country, the Red and Black Flag, with their achievements and the medals they have won. I am proud that this is happening with a constant support from the Municipality, which will continue in the next weeks too, so that the weightlifting sport reaches new levels”, Basha declared.

The Mayor also met with the Tirana Voleyball team which closed the season with two trophies and won the Cup of Albania.
