President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj today received the ambassadors and consuls general of Albania, describing the event as an opportunity to discuss important issues of diplomacy and foreign policy of Albania.
Thanking them for their commitment, the president emphasized that thanks to the ambassadors, “Albania has managed to strengthen its position in the international arena, as well as promote national interests more effectively.”
“The work has been fruitful and I believe that you have designed a future in line with the expectations of our country and the time in which we live. Geopolitics returned to the stage, and with it the irreplaceable role of diplomacy and the diplomat”, said Begaj.
The President pointed out that their role is related to their expertise, saying that “in the modern world there are many actors who deal with foreign policy, but only you practice diplomacy”.
“The professional diplomat relies on facts, analysis and cold logic. Continuous updating of professional skills is a necessary condition for a diplomat”, the President further said.
