Basha: “We didn’t request 2/3rd voting system. The principle is still on reserved spots”

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, held a press release this
afternoon and said that the justice reform for Rama is a political game,
and the opposition has never requested a 2/3rd vote.

Basha said that the Venice Commission has rejected the majority 38 times and has kept the side of the Democratic Party.

“Our principle is still that of the reserved posts. Venice has spoken very clearly. Rama accepted it today for two institutions, but not for the others. He wants to exclude from this system Prosecutors who are investigating cases from Habilaj to Xibraku. He wants to grab the system. It is vital for him to have the system under control. I am here to guarantee to the Albanian people a system that is free from political influence. This is the justice reform itself”, Basha declared.

We hope there will be international consensus for the justice reform, the Democratic Party said.
