The opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, discussed three matters with the
European Parliament members, Knut Fleckenstein and Eduard Kukan: the
justice reform, decriminalization and the elections.
Basha said that he reiterated that the opposition is open and without conditions to find consensus about a reform that fights corruption without letting it on the hands of politics. Basha said he had underlined that the government leader had never answered to the invitation of the opposition for dialogue and consensus.
Fleckenstein and Kukan are two European Parliament Members with a considerable contribution for the passing of the decriminalization law. Basha expressed the opposition’s concern and called it “a challenge to the spirit of law.”
Basha said he raised the opposition’s concern regarding the electoral process. He added that the opposition felt encouraged from the messages taken in this meeting.
