The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, traveled to Vienna with the son of the former Democratic Party leader, Sali Berisha.
Basha said he attended the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE. He reposted an announcement of the European Popular Parties, which says that the DP leader expressed his concerns about the situation in Albania, such as corruption, drug traffic and undemocratic developments.
Basha stayed for just a few hours in Vienna, and returned to Tirana to attend the meeting of the Democratic Party leadership.
In absence of Basha, former DP leader Sali Berisha reacted for the first time against the representatives of the international community, who opposed the extreme decision of the opposition to renounce their mandates.
“I understand our international friends. I know that they mean good. But I invite them to come here and see a reality that is much different from what is written on the files”, Berisha declared.
