road near Tirana Customs for easing the traffic in the area.
Mayor Lulzim Basha declared that this is a provisory intervention.
“Within August 15th we will finish the emergent intervention at the Customs crossing, which has the heaviest traffic in Tirana, with 25.000 vehicles each day. This is the entrance and exit of Tirana, and a very big obstacle for the citizens. For this reason we mobilized to resolve this problem”, Basha declared.
According to the Mayorm the tender for continuing the Tirana Outer Ring segment will be held next week, starting from the technological school in Sauk. After the Outer Ring Road will be over, the Municipality might change the Customs cross again. Basha said that another important investment of the Municipality will be the establishment of a Traffic Control Center and the rehabilitation of the street lights.
