The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, declared that the
self-declaration applications are bringing to light names of
incriminated politicians who are protected by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Basha said that the incriminated power of the Prime Minister will be undone through a process that will be led by the opposition.
“The information received from our partners and citizens show that there are many other public officials who have hidden their data on the declaration applications”, Basha said.
“Rama is the first author of promoting individuals with criminal records in politics, but this will be dismantled, as we promised when we started this battle. The Central Election Commission has handed over the material that we requested, which includes Ministers, Mayors and high-level officials. DP will continue to progress with the data that we own and that come from Albanian citizens. We will send all these materials to the Prosecution, with concrete names”, Basha declared.
Prime Minister Rama answered a few minutes later through Facebook, saying that the Democratic Party is continuing with slander, while most of the politicians with a criminal record were from his side.
