The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, joined the protesters today as they blocked the road for the 19th day in a row.
Police officers clashed today with these protesters, whose houses will be demolished for the construction of Tirana’s new Ring Road.
“The man who inspired racist chants against our citizens is Prime Minister Edi Rama. He is responsible for the violence that was used today towards the citizens. There are ladies with broken ribs and with damages in their spine. He is responsible for the policewoman who lost her fingers. This man is using the police for this 40 million EUR theft. The law is by the side of these citizens. The Constitution is by their side. The only one who is against the law is Edi Rama”, Basha declared.
