Basha: Last appeal for the protesters

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, met with the youth of the
Democratic Party, to appeal them ton join the March in the “Skenderbej”
square in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.

“The powerful and united voice of the youth will speak on behalf of the Albanian citizens this Saturday, to give a strong message to this irresponsible, unjust and incompetent government of Ilir meta and Edi Rama, which is grabbing our country with misery and poverty”, Basha declared.

Although the appeals were made by the Democratic Party, the DP leader was careful to say that the DP was only uniting the citizens and interest groups.

“This is a protest to say “no” to the electricity price increase, to taxes, to the fees for students and to say no to the police state”, the DP leader declared.

Lulzim Basha expressed his conviction that the government will withdraw from what he considered a revenge against the citizens. He said that the success for this was participating in the protest.

“Participation is a democratic rebellion, and participation is unification, because we will be unbreakable if we stay united. They will not be able to stop or ignore us. They will be forced to listen to the people’s voice, or they will face the reality of a free and open society. The reality is that the people is permanent, but governments fall. This protest will unite the spirit of the Albanian people for protesting on the Skenderbej square tomorrow”, Basha declared.
