The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, in today’s protest, promised
that the higher education law will be repealed the first week of their
government.
The opposition leader added that 25 years after overthrowing the dictatorial regime. It is time to overthrow corruption, starting from January.
“Nothing happens by chance. I believe that God’s will shall be done, and this is a challenge that should be faced hundreds of times as a society and nation. Beyond corruption, robbery, you have risen for the biggest challenge that God has brought to Albania. 25 years ago we brought down a regime that saw Albanians as slaves. Today, with their behavior, the government has built the second criminal regime and implements the law only for farmers and barbers, not for millionaire ministers. Next January will be the start of the biggest operation against corruption in these 25 years. Let’s turn the life of the corrupted people into hell”, Basha declared.
The Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, had declared earlier that Albanians are the less represented in this government, which has room only for criminals and not for them.
The opening speech was held by the leader of the Democratic Party Youth Forum, Belind Kellici, who said that youth was gathered in front of the Parliament because they don’t want to submit to this government.
