The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the seizing of 613 kilograms of cocaine in Durres prove the opposition’s accusations for the ties of politics with crime.
“Mafia has strong ties with politics and the police. One single load, 180 million EUR. The time of cannabis was now followed by cocaine and money laundering”, Basha said.
The DP leader said that the existential risk for the society has increased, since crime and dirty money have penetrated the economy.
“The Albanian economy is on the verge of a catastrophe, if we don’t stop it now. Thousands of jobs are at risk”, Basha said.
