The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the cocaine seized in Durres has the same scenario of the one in Xibraka.
Basha said in Parliament that this is a drug line that operates uninterruptedly since when Edi Rama came to power.
“Albania is the base for processing, packaging and sending this drug to the European market. This is what the US State Department and Europol had in mind when they said that during these years with Edi Rama in power, Albania has turned into a base of organized crime. The opposition has said that there are three drug processing labs in Albania. What are the facts that Edi Rama, Fatmir Xhafa and other shareholders of cocaine are trying to hide at any cost? A simple publication showed that the company in question, Arbi Garden, has made 97 transportations from Columbia”, Basha said.
“Cekaj has left the country 24 hours before his drug was seized. International partners had signalled his criminal past in their countries. One of his workers wrote on Facebook that his job was transporting flour for the partisans. Who are the real partisans for whom the drug was ordered? Who funded this operation?”, Basha declared.
