The flux of direct foreign investments grew with 12% for the first nine months of 2018, according to the Bank of Albania.
However, the third trimester has a 9% plunge, compared to the same period of one year ago.
This is mainly due to the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline, which is about to be completed. The flux of the construction works for this project has dropped with 50%.
Foreign investments for this trimester have dropped from 293 million EUR to 266.
Despite the lower investments from TAP, Bankers Petroleum is investing more. Direct foreign investments reached a peak in 2016, at 942 million EUR.
