Bank Governor met IMF and WB representatives in Rome, Italy

The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, met with IMF and World
Bank representatives in Rome, where he underlined that the economic
growth remains positive, supported by a combination of monetary stimulus
with fiscal consolidation.

Sejko said the Bank of Albania expects further improvements of the business climate and inflation, which would help a stable economic growth.

As for bad loans, Governor Sejko said the Bank is drafting an action-plan for reducing them through a series of legal, fiscal and regulatory law improvements.

In this meeting, organized by the Italian Minister of Finances, Pier Carlo Padoan, was also present the Albanian Minister of Finances, Arben Ahmetaj.
