“Intensive meetings with the Romanian parliament and government”, writes the Head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, on his social networks.
Balla declared that Romania supports Albania’s EU accession negotiations and that Albania would also welcome Romania’s recognition of Kosovo.
“The first meeting was with the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Mihai Fifor, and with the Minister of Finances, Eugen Teodorovici. In this meeting, we all appreciated the excellent relations between our countries and our people. Romania supports the immediate opening of the EU accession negotiations for Albania”, Balla wrote.
As NATO partners and allies, Albania and Romania firmly believe that the two consolidated states in the region contribute not only to its peace and security but also promote democracy and freedom in an area much affected by the conflicts of the past. This promotion comes through cooperation with strategic partners, such as the US, NATO, and EU countries. Albania would welcome Romania’s recognition of Kosovo, Balla declared at the meeting.
