One day after the members of the forum for the protection of cultural
heritage asked the Minsitry of Culture to stop the initiative for
leasing the cultural monuments, Mr. Apollon Bace, head of the Institute
of Monuments reacted by saying that their project for the Lezha Castle
fulfill all heritage protection rules.
Bace declared that they consulted specialists for the Lezha castle, and that the project aims to bring life to a very important cultural area.
The head of the Institution of Monuments declared that they have leased cultural heritage objects even in the past, and the projects have been carried out by the people who are currently opposing these initiatives.
These declarations were released during a press release in which the Turkish government gave 5 million EUR for the reconstruction of five mosques in our country.
