family in Kosovo, after an avalanche hit their house in Restelice,
Dragash commune.

7 other members, including her parents and brother, are dead. The girl stayed for more than 12 hours into the ruins of her house, until a rescue team localized her and took her safely.

Doctors in the hospital say that her conditions are good, although she didn’t remember anything from what happened.

Top Channel crew on terrain informed that two other people were found, bringing the tragic balance to nine victims.

The situation in this village is very difficult, due to the lack of roads for helping the people. The Kosovo Special Forces were obliged to dig tunnels in the snow, with shovels, for reaching the damaged houses, while the snow continues to fall and making everything even more difficult.

The authorities tried to evacuate the residents, to avoid further tragedies.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, visited the site and expressed his condolences to the relatives. This was declared a day of mourning for Kosovo.

The searched for other possible victims were stopped this Sunday, due to the bad weather, and restarted today at 07:00.

The avalanche killed 9 people, and only the body of one of them has not been found.
