The Albanian Road Authority appeals drivers to avoid the Nation’s Road,
especially during night, due to heavy snow precipitations, mainly after
the Thirra tunnel.
Bad weather is seen in northern areas, in Tropoje and Kukes, where contractors have cleaned roads and used salt in most dangerous area. No problems were verified in Middle Albania.
In southern Albania there are problems in Gjirokastra, Llogara, while authorities in Korce have applied salt on some roads.
Circulation in the Qafe Thana – Elbasan segment is normal. There has been landslide in some areas, but contractors have already cleaned the debris.
Power shortage was noted in some northern areas, mostly in the damaged network of rural areas.
