A video of the vehicle driving at 270 km/h is on the social media profile of Klevis Ruçajt, who died last night in a terrible accident, along with two girls he had as passengers in the car.
Klevis Ruçaj had been granted a driving licence only a year ago.
Although he had been a driver for a short time, he had been penalized 5 times by the police for various violations.
The “Audi” type vehicle driven by 20-year-old Ruçaj, with two female passengers in the car, was traveling on the eastern ring road in Tirana. But due to the speed exceeding the norms, the vehicle did not enter the roundabout but collided with the side barriers, breaking them and ending up a few meters down the road below, where it collided with a “Honda” type vehicle traveling towards Elbasan.
The two female passengers died at the scene, while after a few hours of fighting for their lives in the hospital, the 20-year-old driver also died.
The driver of the “Honda” and his two passengers were also injured. This road section has had problems in the past in terms of accidents with consequences, mainly of vehicles traveling from Elbasan to Tirana.
These accidents also brought the need to rebuild the road by creating this roundabout, which again did not avoid accidents.
