The citizens of Vlora, Fier, Berat and Gjirokaster will receive services from the new Austrian Consulate in Vlora.
“The Consulate will cover southern Albania after the one that was opened in Shkoder, which covers the north. It comes in a time when we need to consolidate the diplomatic and human relations with Austria”, said the Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, adding that a generation of Albanian intellectuals was also created thanks to Austria’s support for education.
“The Vlora Consulate is important for improving economic relations, seeing the possibilities that are being offered by Vlora and by other geostrategic projects, such as TAP, the 8th Corridor and our activity in the Ionnian and Adriatic seas”, Bushati said.
