The Head of the Supreme State Audit, Bujar Leskaj, said after suspension
of the criminal case against the Minister of Energy, Damian Gjiknuri,
that the Supreme Court has not made thorough investigations.
The SSA sued Gjiknuri for a 480 million EUR damage after the government and CEZ agreed to return the Energy Distribution Operator under state management.
Leskaj declared at the Parliamentary Investigative Commission there is no document regarding the agreement negotiations or how the obligations of both parties were formulated.
Leskaj says that Albania could have resolved this issue by taking the Distribution Operator under state control through an agreement, which, according to him, was done against the interests of Albania.
