Attacks with cell phone bombs

In a letter sent to the Directing Council of the Electronic Communication Authorities, Minister Tahiri adressed a serious concern regarding some elements of the phone companies.

“Preliminary investigation of some criminal matters have noted a common element that might have made it easy for the criminal act: cell phones without an identified owner. This phenomenon has turned into a problem that damages the national security and the citizens’ lives”, the letter says.

The Minister asked the Authority to end this issue, by having the Ministry offering all the necessary expertise for making the respective law amends that will end once and for all the illegal market of cell phones, including criminal sanctions for everyone who is responsible, from cell phone operators to buyers of ghost numbers.
