The violence used against the Albanian players in Belgrade has now turned against the Albanian Embassy in Podgorica, Montenegro.
Montenegrin media say that three people have broken the windows of the embassy and of a bar close to it, and were later arrested. Local media report that there have been only local damages.
The match was also the cause of a fight in Tuz, Montenegro, which left several people injured.
The local media say that the reason was the celebration of Albanian children about what happened at the Belgrade’s stadium. Their celebration was interrupted and students started fighting each other. The situation got even worse when the children parents got involved.
The injured were sent at the central clinic of Montenegro, while the Prosecution started investigations.
Right after these events, the Albanian Foreign Minister reacted by asking explanations from his Montenegrin counterpart.
“All Albanians who live in the region are appealed to show the maturity that was shown by our national team”, declared Minister Ditmir Bushati in Parliament.
Two days ago there have been celebrations in the cities with biggest Albanian population. Hundreds of young citizens celebrated with Albanian flags and posters of the national team players.
