Three days after the Permet officials remove the Church from the Palace
of Culture premises, the Greek Authorities react once again.
This time the Foreign Ministry of our neighbor country has fueled the fire by summoning the Albanian ambassador to Athens, Dashnor Dervishi, and express a protest note to him.
In the press release the Ministry condemns the violent act against a Greek citizen and against a citizen of Greek minority, and also about the throwing of stones at the Greek consulate in Gjirokaster.
According to the Greek diplomacy, these two unprecedented acts of violence threaten the bilateral relations.
In this declaration Athens asked the immediate arrest of the authors and appealed the Albanian government to take urgent measures for normalizing the situation in Permet.
