Assassination attempt in Shkodra, the 22-year-old dies

The terrible event occurred in Shkodra, where Frederik Marku gotkilled and his son Jurgen Marku was seriously injured as the result ofan assassination attempt.

While the hotel that was the motive of the conflict between FrederikMarku and a resident in the village of Theth, in Dukagjin, was set onfire in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Sources from the scene say that have incinerated the entire building,but fortunately without causing casualties. The hotel was located inone of the busiest areas with tourists in Theth.

First doubts were for arson, after the shooting Thursday afternoon inShkodra, where Frederik Marku from Mirdita but living in Tirana gotkilled and, his son, Jurgen Marku, was seriously injured.

Both the author and the victim, two hours prior to the ambush havebeen escorted to the police for a conflict they had the day before.

At the moment of the shooting, the victim and his son were moving intheir vehicle near the regional hospital. The cause of this shootingis the fight of the night before in Theth village, in Dukagjin, wherethe victim, who is son-in-law in the village had started building thehotel in the tourist area, and this caused conflict with a resident ofthe area.

Conflict has been an instant dispute between the victim’s son and oneof his friends. Frederik Marku had intervened to protect his sonhitting the youngster with the butt of his gun. After that, bothparties went to the police station, where they stayed the night.
