Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security at the European
Union, Catherine Ashton, will visit Tirana this Tuesday and will meet
the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani; the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali
Berisha and the Albanian opposition leader, Edi Rama.
“The High Representative will visit Podgorica, in Montenegro, and then she will travel to Tirana and Skopje. In Tirana she will meet the President, the Prime Minister and the opposition leader. The main topic of this visit in the region is the European perspective of Western Balkan. The High Representative will reconfirm the determined commitment of the EU, and the regional cooperation for good neighbouring”, declared Maja Kocijancic, spokesperson for Catherine Ashton.
The visits in Kosovo and Serbia will be announced in another phase, but sources from her cabinet say that a visit in Prishtina and Belgrade could be realized this Wednesday.
