The Head of the European Diplomacy, Catherine Ashton, declared that the
historical agreement between Serbia and Kosovo will enable the latter to
be represented on its own in the regional initiatives.
After a series of contradictions in the country against the agreements for the dialogue with Brussels , the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, is visiting the Capital of political Europe for receiving the support of high rank officials, such as Stefan Fule and Catherine Ashton. The Head of the European Diplomacy welcomed him with praises and embraces.
“I want to start same as with President Tadic, one day ago, by telling the how much I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to you as Prime Minister, to the visions of your leadership. I know, because I was involved in all details, and we had a series of talks together. I know how much this agreement owes to this leadership and vision. The leadership for your country, the vision for the future of your country”, Ashton declared.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, declared: “I strongly believe that the steps that we are undertaking are difficult, due to the past. But these are essential steps for our common European perspective. The Republic of Kosovo is proud to be a European Country. It is ready to have its place in the EU, NATO and the UN. I want to thank Lady Ashton personally for everything and for these historical agreements that were reached between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia”.
Ashton declared that the agreement will make possible for this year to be rich of other agreements between the EU and Kosovo, since it will enable the feasibility study, the dialogue for the visa and the trade agreements. It enables the participation of Kosovo (with asterisk) in the regional meetings, promises Kosovo’s involvement in the EU programs, as the Head of the European Diplomacy hopes, and maybe Kosovo’s membership in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
