On the anniversary of the death of one of the January 21st protesters,
who passed away almost three weeks after he was shot, in a Turkish
hospital, the US Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu has sent a letter to his
family.

“Please accept my sincere condolences for you and each member of your families for the loss of Alex. Among the many challenges that we must come into in life, the loss of a dear person, a father, a husband, a brother, a son, is the most difficult to accept”, Arvizu declared in his message.

The US diplomat says that “among the turmoil of January 21st, we remind the great sorrow that yours and three other families had to bear”.

Arvizu reminds that “USA has always and strongly supported the Prosecution’s efforts for an all-inclusive investigation, without political interventions, for revealing the truth of the January 21st events”.

The letter of Arvizu concludes:
“We believe that it is necessary for the responsible to be accountable for their actions. There can be no justice without truth. Plese know that USA will work tirelessly for supporting the justice cause in Albania”.
