Arvizu visits Top Channel

The US Ambassador, Alexander ARvizu, accompanied by the attache of
Culture and Press, and other members of the his staff, visited today Top
Channel’s main headquarters at the International Centre of Culture.
The visit focused on the concerns coming from the recent attacks against this television, regarding the premises at the “Shqiperia Sot” building. Ambassador Arvizu discussed this matter with the main leaders of Top Channel.
Answering to the interest shown by the Ambassador, Top Channel leaders introduced him to the problems that this television has been facing during and after the violent removal from the building that hosted the studios of the main shows.
The television leaders informed the Ambassador about the pressure and the difficulties that Top Channel has been facing in the last week about this matter, and also other matters that are related with the media freedom, honest market competition and the inability to keep working normally.
