The US Ambassador in Tirana, Alexander Arvizu declared that international efforts are needed for the war against corruption.
Speaking in the conference of “Regional Anticorruption”, the head of the US diplomacy in Tirana underlined that this negative phenomenon affects every country, and the institutions should cooperate for this war.
“In the US, no one stands above the law. All are subject to it”, Arvizu declared.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, who participated in the conference, declared that war against corruption is the most difficult, because regardless how much one person can achieve, danger is always present.
“No reform can be successful if we do not fight corruption beforehand. It is an infinite duel between rule of law and this phenomenon. My government is making great efforts for fighting it”, Berisha declared.
