Arvizu: Murder of Judge Konomi, terrible

Arvizu asked the police to cooperate with the justice for solving the murder of the Judge.

“Someone tried to kill the judge, and killed him”, the ambassador declared.

Skerdilajd Konomi, Judge of the Vlore Court of First Degree, was killed by an explosion in the main boulevard of the city of Vlore.

The 33 year old, father of two children, was driving his car to work when the explosion blew up. There were no other vehicles around him at the moment of the explosion.

How police acted when Konomi was killed

Parallel to the prosecution investigation for finding the authors of Judge Skerdelaj Konomi’s murder in the city Vlore, the Interior Control Service has started an investigation for the way police acted on the scene.

Sources from the Interior Ministry say that they have seized the videos that show the policemen on the scene, who were staying by the car and were not giving the first aid to the victim, who was still alive.

The videos show to patrol police agents who arrived on the scene a few minutes after the explosion, both of them staying with their backs turned to the victim, without taking any action for giving the first aid to the victim or for securing the scene, in order to preserve any evidence that might had been left by the murderers.

After the explosion, the car was not on fire yet. Bystanders were the only ones who tried to remove from the car the judge who was still alive, while the police were seeing everything some meters away. A total of 25 minutes passed from the moment when police arrived on the scene and until his body was removed from the car, making his survival impossible. Fire had not broke up yet in the first minutes, but the afterwards, the flames damaged the body of the victim even more, who had a part of his body inside the car.

The judicial processes for property issues are in the focus of the Prosecution of Serious Crimes, for solving the murder of Judge Skerdilajd Konomi. According to the prosecutors, besides the case that had won at the Supreme Court, the Konomi family had another case against some old Tirana heirs, who resulted of having falsified documents.
