Arvizu: Fullani should not be politicized

By the end of the meeting Arvizu declared that he was concerned about the politicization of the case with the former Bank of Albania Governor, Ardian Fullani.

Arvizu described Ilir Meta as a friend of the USA, underlining that the Parliament has an important role for the functionality of the state, and this visit was a good opportunity to exchange ideas on the latest developments.

“As regards to what is happening with the Bank of Albania, I want to underline that the financial stability is important, first of all. This means that different actors, may them be in the majority or in opposition, should be careful to not let the process get politicized. The financial situation should be stabilized, and the best way to achieve this is depoliticization. The investigation for the bank theft should continue, but I am concerned about the politicization that is being done to this case. There is a lot of speculation and conspiracy theories, maybe because it attracts the interest of journalists and people. But I don’t believe that this helps. What could help now is the a process with integrity in the judiciary”, Arvizu declared.
