US ambassador Alexander Arvizu, accompanied by other officials of the US
Embassy in Tirana, visited for the second time in a few months
Top-Channel’s headquarters, at the “Pyramid”.
Ambassador Arvizu met the managers of the television and hosts of Top-Channel’s most well-known programs.
The US ambassado asked a detailed update of the current problematic, for which he received information and answers by Top-Channel’s managers.
During this meeting, Mr. Arvizu and other officials of the US embassy shared the concerns of the media in Albania, and specifically Top-Channel.
During this conversation, the US high-rank official underlined the need and indinspensability of freedom of speech and free media in every democratic society.
The ambassador declared that media freedom is a very important issue in the vision of USA.
Mr. Arvizu repeated his appreciations about the work of Top-Channel and its staff in these years, which has turned it into the most viewed television in the country.
