The defensive lawyer of the 28 year old Kosovo citizen Nexhat Mulaj, who
was mistakenly arrested for the murder of jewelry owner Rrapo Sinanaj
filed a compensation suit at the Tirana Court for his unjust arrest and
other damages, such as the loss of his wife’s undesired abortion.
After police came to know that Viktor Gushi was the real murder, the defensive lawyer of Nexhat Mulaj confirmed for Top Channel that the authorities did not make the necessary investigations for his client.
“We just filed the lawsuit. We sued the Ministry of Finances, Treasury Department, and we are asking a compensation of 5000 ALL per day for 60 days that he was held in prison. It is very necessary for the citizens to address to court when the Prosecution and Court arrest them unjustl”, declared lawyer Ndue Pjetra.
The lawyer says in his suit that his client has been submitted to a series of accusations and arrest measures, with 60 days in prison. As result, his mother had a heart attack and his pregnant wife lost her child. Mulaj has also asked 100.000 EUR from the Albanian state.
