Arrest of Peruvian former Minister

These newspapers don’t quote their sources, but only the arrest. More mystery was added to the case after Interior Ministry official sources said for Top Channel that the news was untrue and that Interpol Tirana has not arrested any person with that name.

The Socialist MP, Erjon Brace, wrote on his Facebook profile that the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, is directly involved in covering the Peruvian former Foreign Minister. Brace says that Berisha has provided shelter and protection, and that he has even met and supported him for building two businesses very close to the Prime Minister’s office, on Tirana’s main boulevard.

Brace states that the Albanian authorities are denying the fact just to cover the protection given to this person directly by Prime Minister Sali Berisha. Erjon Brace writes on Facebook that he has evidence supporting Miller’s ties with the Albanian government.

“The Peruvian former Foreign Minister, wanted by Interpol, has created the Apollonia Investments Company, with 80% of its shares owned by Miller”, Brace declared.

The Socialist MP says that Manuel Augusto Blacker Miller’s business is related with the construction of a waste management implant in Fier, presented to Berisha’s government through the Ministry of Environment and the Fier Municipality.

Brace explained that the implant has a very powerful capacity and it will be supplied by imported wastes, but its construction was impeded by Socialist councillors at the Fier Municipality and Socialist MPs in the district.

Brace says that the Peruvian former Foreign Minister has been in Tirana at least until the end of 2012.

Prime Minister’s Office reacts: Defamation!

The Prime Minister’s adviser, Suzana Guxholli, declared that the media controlled by Edi Rama and other persons paid by him for defamatory accusations are lying to the public opinion regarding the arrest of Manuel Augusto Blacker Miller, former Foreign Minister of Peru, wanted by Interpol.

The company in question has been persistently recommended by the Socialist Mayor of Fier, Baftjar Zeqo, who has sent several letters and SMS messages to the Prime Minister, according to Mrs. Guxholli.

“Mr.Zeqo emphasizes in his letters and SMS messages that his two-year cooperation with this company had been very successful. After the request sent to the Prime Minister by Mr. Zeqo and representatives of this company, they had a meeting with the Prime Minister’s adviser for economic matters, Suzana Guxholli, a rule that is unchanged for all requests coming from local authorities and businesses, which are then directed to the respective institutions”, the Prime Minister’s reaction says.
