Yesterday, at the National Gallery of Arts, was held the funeral
ceremony for the Albanian architecture and urbanism genius, Enver Faja.
In his successful 50 years long career, he became the author of many famous objects, such as the building of the Faculty of Science, the National Museum of History and the master plan of the Student’s Town.
Enver Faja has also had a diplomatic career. He served as the Ambassador of Albania to Poland from 1992 to 1996.
“Faja is one of the main figures of the Albanian architecture. The next generations will have too much to learn from his work”, declared Artan Shkreli, chairman of the Architects Association.
Among the guests there were many political figures.
“Faja left this world, but his excellent works will keep representing him with dignity and will remain in the memory of his friends and Tirana’s citizens”, Berisha declared.
Faja will be remembered as the man that gave Tirana some of the best architectural works.
