An Arabian citizen and two Albanians, who promised Egyptian passports to Egyptian citizens in exchange of money, were arrested by the Tirana Police.
The 41-year-old Talal Ahmad Abu Mayba was born in the UAE and was residing in Tirana.
The two Albanian citizens who helped him were also arrested, while a 49-year-old woman is on the run.
Acting as foreign investors, these persons had promised Albanian passports to Egyptian citizens for 20.000 EUR. They had received money from several victims, without being able to give them the passports due to strict rules and requirements at the Immigration Office.
