Aqueduct, government pays delayed bills
02/06/2011 08:00
Today entered in act the governmental decision taken for paying the
debts that some state owned aqueducts had to CEZ, the energy
distribution company.
The Ministry of Transports and Public Works transferred around 6 million USD to the regional Aqueduct offices, for them to pay the debts to the private company.
Part of the funds was secured by the railway sector and from the subvention reserves of this ministry.
The cities profiting by this “amnesty” were Elbasan, Fier, Tropoja, Saranda, Vlora etc.
Some of these regions had difficulties on water provision after CEZ interrupted the electrical power.
