The Technical Committee of Health Experts said today at a press conference that after the increase of new cases with Covid-19 and the loss of lives, new measures will enter into force on September 1.

The curfew from 24:00 to 06:00 currently, will be at 23: 00-06: 00.

Starting from September 6, citizens who enter the Republic of Albania from all border crossings must meet one of the following three conditions: 1. Have a vaccination passport, of at least two weeks from the date of full vaccination.

2. Have a negative PCR test of the last 72 hours or a fast antigen test of the last 48 hours.

3. Have proof of passing Sars-Cov2 infection, valid up to 6 months after healing.

These rules are also valid for citizens who transit through Albania. Children up to 6 years old are not included.

Albanian citizens residing in Albania, who return and do not have one of the above-mentioned documents, must self-isolate themselves for 10 days and inform the health authority to perform a test at the end of the isolation period.

The Committee of Vaccination Experts in the assessment of civic responsibility for the protection of public health, has decided to introduce compulsory vaccination for groups most at risk of receiving and especially from the spread of infection, starting with medical staff, teachers and students.

They added that September, being an open month for vaccination, should be the period for all medical staff, teachers and students to complete the vaccination, and by September 30 to submit the certificate from e-Albania, near their work center, or for students at offices designated by Higher Education Institutions.
