A new Parliamentary Commission will investigate the matters related to CEZ.

After the one established by the majority which is investigating the privatization process, another commission requested by the opposition aims to analyze the agreement that passed its shares to the government.

The Democratic Party says that the Supreme State Audit has found a loss of 479 million EUR. The opposition claims that the damage is more than 1 billion EUR, due to the bad Czech management, after they settled to take the shares back, when Albania could have been won the case at the Court of Arbitration, according to DP.

“Despite the obligation that CEZ had to Albania, which is estimated at around 1 billion ALL, there are 500 million USD that CEZ owed to KESH and the Transmission Operator. The government settled for the agreement by giving away all the obligations and by paying other 95 million EUR”, declared the Chairman of this Commission, Edmond Spaho.

The Secretary of the Commission is Vasilika Hysi. The majority said that all agreements related to CEZ have been achieved in cooperation with the Energy Committee in which Albania is a member.

The other investigative commission, in the meanwhile, had the investigation plan approved. The meeting lasted a few minutes and the opposition was not present, because they did not arrive on time.
