The Consumption Price Index reached 2.9% in November, in annual terms,
which is a light decrease compared to October, as declared by the
Institution of Statistics.

Vegetables had a low price for this period of the year. The irreplaceable food products that come from import, such as oils, coffee and cereals, marked another increase.

The price increase for these products might have been caused by the gradual weakening of the Albanian Lek, which in annual terms is 4% less than today.

On the other hand, tobacco price has increased with 18.8%, due to the increase of the excise tax, with 20 ALL per 20 cigarettes packet.

The prices of shoes and clothes have decreased, mostly due to the fall of consumption.

Medicaments fell with 5%, as result of the VAT on medicaments, while the transportation cost also increased with 7.1%.

Inflation of prices and consumption has been high in the first half of the year, but felll in the last months, mostly due to the declining of the consumption level.
