Analysts Roland Lami and Alexander Cipa say that the political crisis can only be resolved through an intermediation from the international partners.
“The international factors must sit and play a decisive role, the same way as they did in 2010”, says Lami.
For Cipa, the crisis cannot be resolved by political radicalization: “Unfortunately, Albania has created a culture of international intervention. We can’t ignore it this time as well”, he said.
Enton Abilekaj thinks that the solution must come from within the Albanian politicians: “It is an unprecedented situation that requires an unprecedented solution. Edi Rama has no intention to resign until 2021, and the opposition has no intention to enter any election with Edi Rama as Prime Minister. The solution would be a new Parliament. The mono-party party Parliament cannot continue”, Abilekaj said.
