Today’s guest on Top Talk, analyst Frrok Cupi, said that the opposition’s stance is giving more terrain to the anti-west sentiments.

“There is a rise among those who think that the West is forcing our path. The anti-western sentiment in Albania is gaining terrain”, said Frrok Cupi.

“The west has reacted in block against their decision to renounce the mandates, while they have openly declared that they recognize the government as the legitimate one, after the elections. But they keep trying to convince them that the country needs early elections”, Cupi said.

According to him, this is the first time in many years that there is an anti-west current.

“The opposition has a slogan that derives from pro-Russian tendencies. ‘We want democracy, not stability.’ Or the calls for the “Balkan Spring’, like the Arab Spring, which is a maximally Russian influence”, Cupi said.
