The Head of the Audiovisual Media Authority, Endira Bushati, although
she doesn’t have the necessary quorum, is still trying to conclude the
passing of acts that are related with digital broadcast.
Same as before, Bushati held today’s meeting with the local operators. The National Televisions (Top Channel and TV Klan), including the largest digital platform in our country, Digitalb, boycotted the process.
“We welcome every recommendation and suggestion for these regulations. These acts will be approved in early September. We are sorry that others are not participating”, Bushati declared.
However, Bushati has never tried to see what caused the boycott of the biggest interest groups.
Despite some problems raised by Top Channel, Bushati stays silent and avoids them. Top Channel has sent a written document to Mrs.Bushati with the remakrs for the process in principal, and denounced the process undertaken by Mrs.Bushati with only three members as illegal, while the licensing of the networks requires a quorum of at least five members.
Although Top Channel asked Mrs.Bushati in a written document to publish the document with the signatures of the five members, according to the regulation, she has given no answer yet.
We remind Mrs.Bushati that on behalf of the institution she leads, and on behalf of transparency and the right to get informed, she must answer why in these three years no plan has been created for making the frequencies, a basic document for licensing the digital networks. She has not answered even why she has tried to rush this process in a time when the change in the political balances of our country makes it illegal, especially for the fact that she wants to conclude this within September.
