The group of Albanian alpinists who placed the Albanian flag on top of
the Everest Mountain are the winners of Top Channel’s poll through which
viewers select their preferred personality for the year.
Om May, the six alpinists started their two month long expedition to challenge in five days the extreme conditions of the highest peak in the world.
The personalities were selected from several areas.
“This year we noted an increased number of voters, most of whom are this time focused on personalities related to culture, sport and social issues, and less on politicians, who have dominated in the past”, declared the webmaster of Top Channel, Igli Gjelishti.
The alpinists were followed by other characters such as Rita Ora, Shpetim Gjika, Rona Nishliu, Kreshnik Spahiu, Albin Kurti, Zamira Durda and the four virtuosos, Klajdi Sahatci, Tedi Papavrami, Vlorent Xhafaj and Dorian Xhoxhi.
This was the eighth edition of this poll that started in December. After the first phase, when the public voted their preferred personalities, to the 10 most clicked names were added the names proposed by Top Channel. After thousands of votes we reached the group of alpinists as winners.
