The Alliance Against Waste Import said that the draft-law proposed by
three Socialist Party MPs, for allowing the import of waste materials,
has not received the deserved attention.
They say the draft law is as dangerous as the one repealed in 2013, and the argument that today there are more valid control mechanisms, is invalid.
The Civil Society asked the Parliament to interrupt the discussions on this draft, which, according, to them, turns Albania into a waste bin.
“The Albanian Parliament must interrupt immediately the discussion for the draft law. If the Parliament o Albania will continue, we will restart popular protests and will apply for a referendum”, said the Head of AAWI, Lavdosh Ferrunaj.
