The Self-Determination Movement headquarters has nothing conventional.
MPs and activists are preparing for a protest that will be organized
this weekend in the border checkpoints with Serbia. Among them we found
the leader, Albin Kurti, who received the trophy given to him by
Top-Channel’s voting Poll “Personality of the Year”.

For the eternal activist and young politician that aspires national unification, this trophy is priceless, because Albin Kurti was voted on Top Channel’s web page by Albanians in Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro and the Diaspora.

“Thank you for this priceless trophy, which is extraordinarily valuable for the Self-Determination and unity of our nation. Albania is much bigger than the Republic of Albania, and Top Channel belongs to Albania. This voting proved that the Albanian people know how to show that they are one, when they have the opportunity”, declared the Self-Determination Movement leader, Albin Kurti.

With the Parliament speeches, the campaigns against the dialogue with Serbia and against the Serbian goods in Kosovo, the Self-Determination Movement leader did not fall prey to political conformism. He denounces every theft that is being made to Kosovo through a system.

“Corruption doesn’t happen because the politicians are corrupted, but because there is a political and social-economic model that produces corruption, the wild and evasive privatizations. This is the model that fabricates corrupted politicians, who are its incarnation”, Kurti declared.

Albin Kurti has also been considered as the “born protester”. He has protested as a student against Milosevic’s regime, with the courage he showed behind the Serbian prisons, and to the current protests for not allowing Serbia in Kosovo.

The Interior Ministry says that no illegal road blocks will be allowed.

“The Interior Ministry can give such political orders, but it will be against the Kosovo Parliament. On January 14th we will have a completely non-violent protest. Hundreds of Serbian trucks will be blocked, and the border will really become Kosovo’s border, in respect of the Constitution and the 85 countries that recognized our independence”, declared the Self-Determination Movement leader.

Regardless the protesting forms, Kurti never abandoned the searched for Self-Determination. The next challenge is the establishment of the state borders with Serbia. For this, according to Kurti, the Serbs are the first to push off, so that we don’t have a Kosovo government that backs off.
