Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Self Determination Movement declared this Saturday that the protest
planned for Sunday 22nd will have a similar scenario with that of
January 14th.
The SDM leader, Albin Kurti, declared that the protests would be held in the borders of Merdare and Dheu i Bardhe, where one week ago they clashed with the police.
Kurti criticized the motion approved by the Democratic Party of Kosovo, which rejects that of SDM for a total reciprocity with Serbia.
“With the police intervention on January 14th, a free economic door was opened to Serbia. With the motion of January 20th, a political road was opened”, Kurti declared.
Kurti underlined that this protest, same as the first one, only aims to defend the Republic of Kosovo and the local goods.
He also mentioned the meeting with President Atifete Jahjaga as very informing about the recent updates, more than an appeal for backing off the protest.
Albin Kurti also added that he had received no invitation from the Head of the State for a political dialogue, a news that had been recently published in Kosovo media.
